The circus that is American politics has hit a new low. We now have the weigh-in of the Pastors to weigh down our shrinking respect for our leaders. What's next, I wonder? Perhaps we will be treated to an expose of the mothers of the candidates. Of course the feeding frenzy of the media adds to the shark pit atmosphere of the whole thing. How will we revert to a quiet confidence in government when it is all said and done and someone finally comes out on top? Do any of these people think that their horrible behavior will just go away when it is time to go to work and carry on the business of keeping us safe and reasonably prosperous? Do they really believe that none of what is happening now will have an effect on our foreign relations? We are playing this debacle out on the world stage, after all. Careful, people. If this keeps up we aren't going to be much more than a laughing stock and our influence both domestically and internationally will be a thing of the past.
